

Dingley Primary School is situated in spacious landscaped grounds located
in the south-eastern suburb of Dingley. Established in 1925, the

 DPS
has an approximate enrolment of 380. The school is committed to providing
a high quality, comprehensive education for all pupils, in a caring,
friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We accept our responsibility to
assist children: - to become motivated, inquiring and independent
learners. - to strive to reach their full potential. - to acquire
mastery of the curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy. - to
acquire decision-making, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

The school
has been funded for significant building works over the next 2 years.
Federal Government funds of $2.5 million, will see the completion of a
modern Multi Purpose centre in early 2010. This will be followed
immediately by the State Government funded new school. The first stage
will all students from Years 3-6 being housed in state of the art
classroom. It is anticipated that the second and final stage for Prep -2
students and a new administration block will follow.
The canteen operates daily and a before/after
school care program is provided. Our spacious grounds are a delight and
feature a well grassed oval, landscaped gardens, shaded recreation
areas, an adventure playground and a marked asphalted area.
All staff members are committed, experienced and professional and have
high expectations of themselves, their peers and their students. In
order to continually improve student learning all staff members pursue
on going professional development based on the school’s and their own
personal needs. The school enjoys the strong support of its parents,
council and staff.
It is a place where learning is valued and
supported by all. Parental involvement and participation in the life of
the school is encouraged. The direction of the School Strategic Plan
2010 -2013 are to provide a high quality Literacy & Numeracy program for
